If you’ve got a spare thousand dollars just sitting around, then why not contribute to one of 2026’s most bizarre games: Congratulations On Your Purchase. Seriously, what is happening? Congratulations On Your Purchase has appeared on Steam, and understandably, everyone is simultaneously confused, shocked, angry, baffled, amused, and wondering what’s real and what isn’t. To catch you up, here’s Steam‘s official description for Congratulations On Your Purchase: ‘The most expensive game on Steam. A palace, a red carpet, paparazzi, and a wall where you leave your name — visible to every owner who comes after you. Ten minutes. The price is not a mistake. It is the point.’ Not only does this short description get to the point, but it tells you EVERYTHING that happens in this game, and if I’m being cynical, I’m not sure what it is, because it isn’t a game. The developer’s justification continues: ‘You paid for this. Not accidentally. Not on impulse. You saw the price. You read the description. And then you bought it anyway. Welcome. There is no combat. There are no enemies. There are no quests, no skill trees, no loot boxes — well, there is one box, but it contains only the feeling

of having arrived somewhere important. You will walk. You will look. You will leave something behind. That is all. That is everything.’ For $999.99 or £748, exactly, you basically pay to have your name on a wall. Once you’ve done this, you’ve basically seen everything that Congratulations On Your Purchase has to offer. Even more eye-watering is the fact that the Steam page mentions: ‘Some of the store page artwork for this game was created with the assistance of generative AI image tools. I have a feeling the discourse on Congratulations On Your Purchase is going to be fascinating, so keep your ears open for more on this game…experience… experiment? If you missed it, I Am Rich was another similar game that operated in a familiar capacity to Congratulations On Your Purchase. So, how many copies of Congratulations On Your Purchase are you picking up? Let us know through the official Insider Gaming Discord Server. Yakuza Creator's Gang of Dragon PS5 Game Really Does Seem Dead - Push Square

While it seems unlikely we will ever get official confirmation out of NetEase, it does indeed appear Gang of Dragon, from Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi and his new development studio, has been quietly cancelled. Back in March, it was reported publisher NetEase was planning to pull its funding of Nagoshi Studio, leaving the team in a scramble to secure funds from elsewhere.
